Kingdom Tower

 

Approved project for Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

At over 1,000 meters (3,280 feet) and a total construction area of 530,000 square meters (5.7 million square feet), Kingdom Tower willbe the centerpiece and first construction phase of the $20 billion Kingdom City development.

Expected to cost $1.2 billion to construct, Kingdom Tower will be a mixed-use building featuring a luxury hotel, office space, serviced apartments, luxury condominiums and the world’s highest observatory. Kingdom Tower’s height will be at least 173 meters (568 feet) taller than Burj Khalifa (tallest structure in the world at 828 meters / 2,171 feet).

Wadi Rum Resort

 

Winning design entry for a new desert lodge in Wadi Rum, Jordan.

The luxury eco resort is carved into the desert cliffs and designed to symbiotically blend into the existing natural faults and fissures of the rock.

Aldar Central Market

Re-development of the historic Abu Dhabi Central Market. Rising above a planned mall district are three high-rise towers with smooth reflective facades.

Zayed National Museum

Under construction in Abu Dhabi, UAE. 

The museum will form part of the emerging Saadiyat Island Cultural District. Its design draws on the landscape and culture of the Emirates and the galleries are housed within five feather-like forms, which function as solar thermal towers and contribute to a highly progressive environmental strategy.

King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center

Under construction in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Designed to unify architecture and engineering, landscape and building artist expression and environmental responsive design.  It is intended to  be a leading research facility with LEED Platinum certification.

Cobra Hotel - The Gateway of Ras Al Khaimah

Approved project for the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

The design is inspired by the surrounding desert and mountain landscape and culminates in a landmark tower marking the main gateway plaza.

This 200 m high tower will be the setting for a 5 star  hotel.

Massar Children’s Discovery Centre

Planned project for the center of Damascus, Syria.

The building comprises exhibition, library, education and administration space.  The centre will through science-based, hands-on experiences offer activities to empower young Syrians to contribute actively in building their future.

The design is inspired by the Damask rose. The proposal suggests a shell structure allowing a playful and dazzling scenography of light into the interior spaces - like light filtering between rose petals.
