SOMA architects have designed the main thematic pavilion for Expo 2012's theme "The Living Ocean and Coast".

During daytime the lamellas of the kinetic facade control interior light conditions. Individually actuated they enable a choreography of wavelike patterns along the whole length of the building. LED illumination draws attention to the pavilion at night.
