Final designs of the new contender for the world's tallest structure have been revealed recently. Already in planning for several years, Adrian Smith and Gordon Gill have unveiled their vision of a tower that for the first time in human history will break through the one kilometer mark. The final height of the building is not set in stone yet, it will, however, be a minimum of 1000 meters (3280 feet), and with that at least a considerable 173 meters (568 feet) taller than Burj Khalifa, the current world's tallest.

Construction is expected to begin later this year and is estimated to last five to six years. For more pictures and info about this thrilling project click here
